Hi... very interesting article... I have a question related to the video playback in Internet.

Is any way to load a video in the background while another video is playing / buffering to avoid delays between the end of one video and the beginning of another one? Or this is not posible?

I'm looking for some tutorials or a flash video player capable of this.

Thanks for the article and thanks for the help.

One more difference :

For a progressive download, you can seek only to a keyframe, so a seek takes you to the time of the first keyframe after the specified time. (When streaming, a seek always goes to the precise specified time even if the source FLV file doesn't have a keyframe there.)

Great Blog....Thanks a lot.

My project would have over million hits in a month, would progressive download a feasible solution still? Are there any chances that the server would go out of memory?

If anyone can make any suggestions, what would you recommend for a web site to offer quality video content without copyright infringements.

How does Blockbuster do immediate rental downloads and sales to the computer?

I am with Tash, I want to offer video online but protect it from unauthorized copy or download. From what I get here, I should use streaming because it is harder to copy. If the video is 1hr+ and in HD, what would you recommend?

Also, how would progressive be legal with copy rights, you are not allowed to copy protected material and progressive downloads to cache file.
